Not LeBron Too...
Despite being America's golden child of basketball, LeBron can indeed get in a little bit of trouble himself.
On December 30, LeBron was pulled over just south of Cleveland on Interstate 71 (I drove I-71 this summer heading from Cleveland to Columbus/Cincinnati!). He received a ticket.
Big deal, right?
Wrong.
The King was going a cool 101 MPH. That's quick.
Granted, it was 2:43 A.M., but the last thing you'd want to hear is that the world's most famous basketball player was killed driving 101 MPH down the freeway because he thinks he's invincible.
LeBron had his attorney enter a "not guilty" plea, and a hearing is scheduled for Feb. 11.
Just another candidate for the "Idiot of the Week" award. But, in LeBron's defense, at least he wasn't drunk too...

Celtics Taking Over the World and Bill's An Idiot
Yes, they lost to the Bobcats, but they're still 30-4.
In the spirit of posting videos, if you haven't seen some of ESPN's commercials featuring the Big 3, they're pretty hysterical. It's good to see these guys having fun with life and win at the same time. (Though some may disagree.) Enjoy.
Also, another of my personal favorites, though its only tangentially Celtics related in that Bill Walton played for them a long time ago.
Bill Walton may be the worst commentator in basketball history. Watch him get over-excited about Boris Diaw (Who? Exactly).
"When I look at Boris Diaw, I think of Beethoven and the age of the romantics. This guy has got it all."

Star means Star
Back from our long hiatus and hopefully better than ever. Especially since it's basketball season.
I was perusing the news this morning and found this headline: "NBA star arrested for DUI." I began to think, hm, I wonder who that could be. Must have been somebody good.
I also thought to myself, wow, another DUI for an NBA player, remembering how I heard yesterday that Kwame Brown of the Los Angeles Lakers had been arrested earlier in the week. So, I clicked the article.
It led me here, to a site with the headline Lakers Star Arrested in Georgia DUI Incident. Sure enough, the article was referring to the aforementioned Brown. Kwame. Star? I think not.
If by star, you mean the guy who averaged 8.4 points and 6 rebounds per game last season in just 41 games despite a wide open middle and no one else on the team (Bynum doesn't really count) could grab a rebound, then sure, Kwame's a star. If by star, you mean the biggest first pick overall in an NBA draft bust in this century, then sure, Kwame's a star. If by star, you mean the guy who begins to show a bit of promise, then gets injured, gets arrested, or even just turns the ball over on the next possesion, then sure, Kwame's a star.
That was perhaps the most misleading headline I ever read. I expected it to be referring to somebody good.

Joe Morgan is calling the homerun Derby. I'm sure there is so much more to come... the happened in the first 60 seconds:
